Bridge City was one of the shopping centres affected by social unrest in 2021 where it suffered extensive damage. The rebuild of the shopping centre was inspired by it's position at the the conflux of movement and travel. Bridge City is a 40,000m² double level rectangular shopping centre with courts at either end as well as in the centre. Anchor stores are located at each end on both levels and the banking court is on the upper central court. Mall runways curve gently inwards from the central entrance towards the courts on opposite sides.
