Design Quarter Fourways, Johannesburg’s once premier décor and homeware destination, has been redeveloped as a holistic modern-living lifestyle retail  centre. The phased redevelopment was designed by MDS Architecture for Investec property Fund. Offering 24,570 m² of mixed-use development, Design Quarter is a curated, connected, convenient experience for surrounding residents which was completed in July 2023.

The Boardwalk Mall in Nelson Mandela Bay has won the refurbishment/expansion category of the 2023 SACSC Retail Design and Development Awards.

Nestled along KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast lies Ballito Junction. The original building, a Mediterranean-inspired shopping centre, is being reconfigured and refurbished to create a new mixed-use precinct with flexible workspaces that offers a diverse range of amenities and experiences.

Merino Mall opened at the end of October 2022 and significantly broadened shopping, entertainment and gatherings options – not only in Ermelo, but for communities within the large catchment area stretching as far as Pongola, Middleburg and Secunda.

Designed by MDS Architecture, the first phase of Boardwalk Mall opened in March 2022, with a variety of entertainment options and several tenants who traded while the second phase was being completed. The grand opening took place in September 2022.
